Notes of Cherry, Marmalade and Date

Our first impressions of this coffee were of apple pie and apple jam, especially in the aroma. We also tasted flavours of strawberry, plum and chocolate, with a spicy aftertaste of clove, honey, vanilla, nutmeg and cinnamon.

Finca Santa Rosa in El Salvador have made a name for themselves through growing some of the highest quality coffees in the country. Owner and second generation producer Jorge Raul Rivera’s commitment and drive for quality has resulted in his continual domination of the Cup of Excellence competitions, coming first in 2014, 2017, and again in 2019.  He’s worked hard to achieve this, attending roasters’ retreats to understand what roasters are looking for, and qualifying as a Q grader.
